In a scene straight out of a pastoral comedy, more than 300 sheep escaped their enclosure near Mountain Drive in Santa Barbara, transforming the roadway into an impromptu pasture. California Highway Patrol officers swiftly responded, assisting the owner in herding the woolly wanderers back home. The CHP humorously noted, 'We're happy to report the flock is back where they belong, and everyone is baaahck to their normal routine.'

This isn't the first time Santa Barbara has witnessed such fluffy escapades. In recent years, the city has employed sheep for vegetation management to reduce wildfire risks, with herds grazing in local parks. However, this particular incident added an unexpected twist to the usual traffic flow, as drivers found themselves yielding to a sea of sheep.

The CHP quipped, 'Just another day in Santa Barbara—where even traffic jams can be fluffy,' encapsulating the city's unique blend of urban life and rural charm.
