In Davenport, Florida, 44-year-old Jocelyn Charles occupied a stranger's rental home for four days, cooking meals and taking baths, all to avoid a dispute with his wife. Deputies found him mid-cook, with the stove on and a bath drawn, leading to charges of unarmed burglary and petit theft.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office humorously likened Charles to 'Goldilocks,' noting the stove was on, lights illuminated, and a cellphone charging upon entry. Their Facebook post quipped, 'We assume the bath temperature was not too hot, nor too cold, but juuuuust right.'

Charles, with no prior theft arrests, remains in custody on a $10,000 bond for burglary and $250 for theft, as the case proceeds.
